Show me what you see, or tell me when IntelliSense gets it wrong. I personally read every report.

I built SQLly because I wanted a database tool I actually loved using. My hope is that it becomes that tool for you, too, and the only way to get there is to hear from you when it isn't. So feedback is built right into the app, in two forms.

SQLly comes set up the way I like to work. If you work differently, tell me, and I'll do my best to make room for you. I personally read every piece of feedback you send, and if it's practical, I'll do my best to build it.

Show me what you see

Use general feedback for anything: a bug, a rough edge, a feature you wish existed, or a workflow that fights you. Choose Help › Send Feedback… (it's in the command palette, too).

  1. A screenshot, taken for you. SQLly captures the whole app window at full resolution before the feedback window opens.
  2. Black out anything private. Drop black boxes over anything you'd rather not share, then move and resize them to fit.
  3. Point at it. Draw arrows at exactly what you mean.
  4. Say it your way. Add a note and send it.
Your privacy comes first. Blackouts and arrows are burned into the image on your own machine before anything uploads, so what you black out never leaves your computer. Screenshots are stored privately, and only I can see them.

Reports upload quietly in the background and retry if you're offline, so a flaky connection never loses your feedback, and a retry never sends it twice.

Tell me when IntelliSense gets it wrong

When a completion is wrong, missing, or just noisy, press F2 right where it happened. SQLly captures what you typed and what it needs to reproduce the moment, and a good report becomes a regression test, so once it's fixed, it stays fixed. The IntelliSense improvement process walks through what happens next.
