Redis Insight

functional

Import a Redis Insight database export with its passwords, TLS certificates, Cluster and Sentinel settings.

Redis Insight exports its database list as JSON (or the same JSON in base64), optionally with passwords. SQLly imports it with everything that makes a Redis connection work: TLS certificates, Cluster and Sentinel settings, SSH tunnels and Entra sign-in. SQLly does not write Redis Insight files.

In Redis Insight select your databases and choose Export, ticking Include passwords if you want them carried over. In SQLly choose File → Import From Other Tools… and pick the file. Unlike the other formats, this import keeps passwords and passphrases, moving them straight into your system keychain; delete the export afterwards. The full list of what comes over is on Export & import connections.
