FOR BUSINESS USEDevice licenses are not user seats: every computer running SQLly for work uses one of the license’s registered device installs, and a team can’t count people instead of registered devices to get around the install limit. Organizations with more than 100 employees also may not use the free tier inside the organization. Those rules live in the terms of service.

Each renewal extends your update window by a year. Every build released while you’re subscribed is yours to keep.
The app keeps working
Cancel or let it lapse and nothing breaks. You keep every build up to your expiry date, forever, with no reminders. You just stop getting new ones.
The reminder comes back
Choose to install a build released after your update window closed and it still runs - but because that version is past what you’ve paid for, the renewal reminder returns and stays until you resubscribe. Stay on your last entitled build and you’ll never see it.
SQLly Cloud
Reach your servers from anywhere with the desktop app through a small onsite connector - the SQLly Bridge - you install on a machine that can see them. The tunnel is end-to-end encrypted: our relay routes your traffic but can never read it. The in-tab browser preview is a labeled demo, not this Cloud product. Not available yet, but here’s the shape of it.

What are the free tier’s limits?
The free tier is built for hobbyists and side projects: you can save up to two servers - with unlimited databases on each - and connect one RDS IAM or Azure cloud account. Any paid license lifts both limits.
And the one hard rule: organizations with more than 100 employees may not use the free tier inside the organization at all.
What does “renews on your signup date” actually mean?
If you sign up on August 14th, your subscription renews every August 14th. You’re entitled to any build released up to the date your subscription expires, and those builds keep working after that. No anniversary surprises, no prorated weirdness.
If I cancel Annual, does the app stop working?
No. This is a subscription for updates, not for the software. Every build released before your expiry date is yours forever. You just won’t get builds released after it.
How do the device installs work?
Annual includes 2 registered device installs per platform, and Lifetime includes 5 (macOS, Windows, Linux). The devices can be yours or your company’s. For business use, each computer uses an install: device installs are not user seats that follow one employee onto every computer they touch. You can still unregister an old device and register its replacement anytime. We trust you. Don’t make the pig regret it.
What’s “connect from anywhere” in Lifetime?
When SQLly Cloud ships, Lifetime owners get the remote-access part included: connect to your servers through the relay and your onsite connector (the SQLly Bridge) from the desktop app, without a separate Cloud subscription. Cloud’s team features, like shared server profiles and managed users, still require a Cloud plan.
