TablePlus

functional

Import TablePlus's Connections.plist, with group names, or a connection export saved without a file password.

TablePlus keeps its connections in a property list and can export them to a .tableplusconnection file. Neither is formally documented, but both are stable, plain formats that TablePlus itself reads back, so SQLly imports them. SQLly does not write TablePlus files.

From TablePlus into SQLly

  • The whole list - pick ~/Library/Application Support/com.tinyapp.TablePlus/Data/Connections.plist. Leave ConnectionGroups.plist next to it and SQLly names each connection's project after its TablePlus group.
  • An export - in TablePlus select connections and choose Export Connections, leaving the file password empty. SQLly cannot read a password-protected export; export again without one.

Then choose File → Import From Other Tools… and pick the file. Engine, host, port, user, database, SQLite path, environment tag, TLS mode, and the SSH host, port, user and key file come along. Passwords saved in the file are deliberately ignored.

To take your SQLly connections to TablePlus, copy a connection URL from SQLly and use TablePlus's Import from URL.
